Hi: We had a short power outage recently, and ever since the dishwasher won't work - nothing at all, no lights, nothing.

From reading other posts here seems most likely it's the control panel or board. Is there any way to check that that's the problem? They seem expensive.

Thanks, Simon

I have been working on my Kitchen Aid dishwasher and learned quite a bit about its electronics. If you first verify that your DW is getting power, the next thing to check is the "thermal fuse" which is probably attached to the plastic housing that holds the control board. If this fuse is blown - easily checked with an ohmmeter - nothing in the DW will operate.
