Model Number: MER6772BAC Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
Hi, was fixing the model stove as mentioned above... the rear left element and limiter has a few wires attached to it. One of these has burnt off. It obviously doesn't work now. It was shorting to the upper metal top, but I have capped it off temporarily... I believe that it's been fixed before with inferior components ( not high temp disconnects) All I need to fix this a high temp 90 degree female disconnect and about 6" of high temp wire... does anyone know if I can get this as like spare parts... Do you know the guage? I'm guessing it's #14 or 12 awg, probably MTW, or something like that... I believe it's probably part of a harness ass'y, but do not want to buy the complete harness ass'y if all I need is 6-8" of High Temp wire and a connector... could you please steer me in the right direction?

Cut off a piece of it and take it to a local electric store. Then splice in a new piece.
Gene.

Thanks for that tidbit, but have been to Electricial Supply, HVAC Supply, Plumbing Supply, Electronic Supply, none of them stock High Temp Wire or High Temp Disconnects...
Yes, I can order, but for what I need, I would have to get a package of disconnects, (don't know what I would have to buy for minimum order) as well as they won't sell me 1'foot of High Temp Wire... Have been online, i.e., Nelco, 3M, Molex, etc...but minimum order is very pricey... Didn't know if APP would have some type of parts order to get extra pieces/wire to splice. |
