Brand: Hotpoint   Age: 1 - 5 years   
While running, I smell a smell like sewer from the garbage disposal. The drain line from the washer to the disposal has a small amount of black substance in it (mold?). What are my options?

Hi Jim,

I would replace the drain hose and install an air gap on top of the sink.

- The part number for the air gap is AP3363562
