Opened the door to empty just now, and heard a loud snap... Had a close look and the door spring just "came out" in my hand, also another small squarish bracket metal thing and a long piece of snapped string is hanging down.
Now I have looked around online and it seems that the ropehinge is broke.
I have found a site that sells the parts, but I cannot find a diagram anywhere of how to fix it or what to do.
I am not a very practical woman, but I have to fix this myself as I cannot afford to replace, and I cannot afford to call someone out, so if anyone can guide me to a site that shows repair diagrams I would be very grateful.
