After my latest repair my dishwasher acts like I fixed it but turns out the drain motor runs as it tries to fill.

In the past I changed out a thermal fuse and it worked for about a Year. The other day the location where I clamped the new wires for the thermal fuse overheated and melted the wires causing significant damage to the wires ( it was clear the wires melted and shorted out - blew the circuit breaker).

I bought a new thermal fuse and fixed the wires. Everything looks as it should, but when I run the cycle the drain motor is running when it is trying to fill with water so every bit of water that goes into the dishwasher drains out. I am wandering if I fried something when the wires were crossed.

Voltage is going to the drain pump when the dishwasher is trying to fill.

Any suggestions? Could I have fried the circuit board? Should I just give up on this old thing and buy a new one? I worry about sinking money into his old dishwasher.
