Hello all,

I have a kind of a unlikely problem with a brand new (never used) Bosch dishwasher. We moved in our new house on Saturday and we have all new appliances. Some of them were installed by the builder or better by a company that is working with the builder during the building process. One of those was the dishwasher. We tried the new dishwasher, which is a Bosch Ascenta, but unfortunately it wasn't working. In the beginning we thought, that we make a mistake and this is why it's not working. Then I realised that there was a kind of empty space with 2 screw holes next to it on the top of the inner part of the door. First I wasn't sure that there is a whole part missing, the door seems to close and lock. Anyhow, we called the company and they came out pretty quick. At first the mechanic wasn't sure if there was something missing or not, he unscrewed the inner part of the door, because he thought the part might have fallen into the door, but there wasn't anything. Finally he told us that the door latch is missing, or one half of it, and the dishwasher can't get the signal that the door is closed. This seems to be the reason, that we could not start the dishwasher.
He left us with the impression, that it could take a while to get this part. He couldn't give us an estimate, just a "couple of days". Unfortunately I have the feeling that this will take much more than a couple of days.
Does anybody know what part or part number that exactly is? I was looking here in ApplianceParts but I am not sure that I am getting the right part.

Good morning all,

has nobody an idea about the part or the part number?

When I looked it up here in the parts finder, I got this part Parts for SHX2ARL5UC/07 - AppliancePartsPros.com presented to me as a door latch. But when I use the "compatibility tool" it tells me, that the part is not compatible to the model number. And it doesn't look like the part, that will match into this place, but I can be wrong.
