Dishwasher door wont latch tight
Model Number: GSD500TBA/WA/AB/AW Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
My GE dishwasher door wont latch tight, it go's about 1/2 then stops, so it will not run, I've checked around the inside and outside of the door, nothing is in the way. Any clues?

Check around the door again. As the door closes, does it line up square with the dishwasher on both sides and the top?
If it does, you might need to remove the two screws which attach it to the underside of the counter, pull it out a few inches and look at it then. also, check underneath the rubber door seal. Sometimes things get stuck in there.
