Model Number: smu4056-us-01 Brand: Bosch Age: More than 10 years
Hi Folks!
I have a dishwasher which doesn't want to fill. When I attempt to run the dishwasher, the main control knob rotates very slowly, as it should, the dishwasher seems to move through the various stages of operation, except there's no water. Electrical and water supplies are fine. Tubes/hoses/raceways are clear. When I remove either of the two full size motors, and apply AC, they turn freely. Any associated impellers also turn freely. When I remove the "magnetic" water supply valve, apply water and AC, water flows freely out of what appears to be the main "port". There's a smaller secondary port which may be some sort of cut-off, but I'm having trouble visualizing the exact function of it, in order to test it. Also, there's what is described as a "Float Switch" assembly on the diagram on APP( appliancepartspros.com ): 05-Body parts for Bosch SMU4056 US/01 (FD 7106-7308) - AppliancePartsPros.com it's items 11, 12, and 13 on that diagram. Hopefully that will be enough to make clear which part I'm discussing. Just in case it might not be, I took a couple photos. After the dishwasher stopped operating properly, the "Float Switch" was found sitting on the bottom of the outside cabinet. There's a float, but it's not anywhere near any water. It's not attached to the cabinet, it's not inside the inner liner as I might expect a "Float" Switch would be. I would greatly appreciate if someone could tell me where the "Float Switch" should be placed/attached to operate normally, and how to test the proper operation of the second port on the magnetic valve. Cheers! Ads By Google Related Models |
