I get water into & pumped out of washer but no water out of spray arm. I can hear water enter & drain from machine thru tailpeice. This breakdown occurred after weeks of a louder operating noise, mechanical in nature, than usual. Any Ideas as to what this problem may be?

Most likely there is a foreign object inside the pump intake which could cause a damage to the motor and/or impeller.

Remove the lower spray arm and the filter.

Remove the screw holding the impeller cover (#10 on the motor & pump break down diagram). Remove the cover and check for any foreign objects.
