Model Number: WTW55S0200 Brand: Whirlpool Age: Less than 1 year
I have a top load Whirpool that won't start it's cycle. As soon as I try to run the washer, it will fill with water but WON'T stop. It doesn't overfill, it will only throw water in, keeping filling, keep filling and that's where it's stuck. I was told to check Timer, water level switch, and LID switch. But if I OHM them out, what should it OHM out too? The Water Level switch and LID switch has 3 male pins. What should those pins ohm out too? Also the Timer has about 20 different male pins. How would I check it???

Did this unit ever work OK at this location/set up?
Since it never overfills it sounds like the water is draining out as it fills. The most common cause of this is the stand pipe/drain hose being to low. I could not find any info on the given model number but here is an install sheet for a unit I think will be similar to yours. https://www.whirlpool.com/digitalass...0W10150593.pdf

Check the drain.
Check if the motor is running. If the motor is not running then the water may be siphoning out. If it goes into a stand pipe make sure it is not tight in the stand pipe there needs to be some room around it.
