5 and a half years old dishwasher, no signs of trouble until I go to click the Start button and nothing happens yesterday. Tried different button combinations - only light I could get to turn on is the light to the right of 'Heated Dry' after holding down the button for awhile. Ideas for fix?

Hi.

Open the control panel, disconnect the flex ribbon from the control board and clean the edge with isopropyl alcohol.
Reconnect and check. If there is no any difference - replace the control panel Part number: 6-919835

Thanks - I cleaned the flex ribbon w alcohol - was able to get the '3' light to stay on and to flash for a few seconds. Tried to start the Field Service Test but no luck getting that going. After pressing the 'Sanitize' and 'Hi Temp Wash' buttons, the '3' light flashes 5 times. Ideas?

Hi.

Press the "Heated Dry" for 3 sec., the indicator light next to the lock graphic should turn off.
The dishwasher should be operational. That means the key panel was locked. Read the owners manual.

If that is not the case - open the toe panel, locate the tech sheet and perform the key panel (membrane) test.
Replace the panel if needed.
