My GE dishwasher leaves 1.5 to 2 inches of water in the bottom. Until now it has worked fine otherwise (3 years old). Here's what I have done so far:
Ran it through cycles (regular and rinse only) and see no water going into the plumbing on the sink where the dishwasher drain connects. Cleaned out all the filters and strainers down to the bottom of the sump. Took the drain pipe off and made sure it was clear. Checked the flap valves Took the drain pump off and made sure nothing was impeding the impellers.
Didn't really find anything that could be plugging it.
Maybe the pump is no good. Impellers are clear and not damaged.
I don't know how to do the ohm thing to check the pump motor. Maybe I can take it in to an electric motor place.
We live about 60 miles out of town so having a service person come out is not possible.
Any ideas anyone can give me will sure be appreciated.
