How Do I Change Door Panel?
Model Number: GU2300XTVQ1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
My wife wants to change the door panel from white to black-I believe you have the black panel in stock.. How do I change the panel on this model? Do I remove the screws inside the dishwasher to get the white panel off and do I have to also remove or loosen the screws on the control panel? This model does not have separate side panels with slip in front panels. Do I also need the Whirlpool decal for the bottom or is the panel finished in a way that the decal is not necessary for looks? Thank you.

Remove the screws on the inside of the door. The control panel can stay on but you might have to loosen it. Here's the part numbers for black: Front Panel# W10102676; Front access panel (under door) #8573255

I'm sure there is but you'll need to talk APP for the part number. The control panel is also the key panel. With those three parts, aren't you close to the price of a new machine? It might be better to sell that one and put the money towards a black one. JMO
