Our dishwasher won't fill with water when we start it. Instead it appears to be stuck in drain mode, trying to remove excess water from the tub.

I have found several threads related to this topic that suggest the problem could be either:

1. Float or water level sensor that is broken or clogged, or
2. The water valve that is broken, or
3. A timer issue
4. etc.

In order to trouble shoot it a little further, I have been trying to find the float or water sensor, which is not obvious on this model. Some have suggested that the water sensor and the water valve are the same thing, but I have found a part diagram that appears to show a 'water sensor' as a separate part, but it is not obvious where it is located exactly or how to access it?

Does someone know of a detailed guide for trouble shooting this problem, or how to access the water sensor?
