Hello all, and thanks for your time. I replaced my circuit board on 2010 because the heater relay was fried. Now, for some unknown reason, it stopped working mid cycle. It was almost like it lost power. Nothing works on it. I have checked the breaker, and that's good. It's inline with my disposal, and that still works fine, so I know power is going through the line. Their is water in the bottom of the dishwasher. Is there an internal fuse or something that may have blown? If so, where? I am at a loss!!! Thank you so much!!

Here are your parts
Parts for Maytag MDB8951AWS - AppliancePartsPros.com

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

It does not look like there is a fuse in the unit.

You cannot assume that just because the disposal works that power is getting to the control board of the dishwasher.

Remove power from the unit and remove the wire nuts that connect the unit's wiring to the house wiring and check that the connections are OK.
If the unit uses a line cord check that there is power in the receptacle it uses.
It is also best to check the power at the wire nuts with a meter but make sure that nothing can short to each other or the frame.

If there is power getting to the unit check that the door switches are OK.

If the above are good then odds are that the control board is toast.

I hate to sound ignorant, but I cannot find where the fuse would be.

OK, I have determined that there is power getting to the unit, as well as the circuit board. I am getting a reading from all places that I can find inside the unit, as well as underneath. So, if the unit is getting power, and the circuit board is getting power, can I assume that this circuit board is dead since nothing is happening? That stinks. It only lasted 2 years!

I also have determined that power is in fact getting to the button board. But nothing lights up or does anything when pushed. I sure hope it is just the circuit board!!!

Yes that would also be my conclusion.

Is the unit on a dedicated 15 amp line?
If you have other appliances on the line that have a motor or heating element it could be that voltage spikes are taking out the board.

Might pay to wire in a sere protector.

Yeah, the disposal is on the same line. Might be the culprit! Another thing that leads me to the circuit board going bad is that is stopped in mid-cycle, not even allowing the water to drain. I hope they have one in stock locally.

Sorry my typo, should be surge protector.

You may want to look at the AppliancePartsPros price for the board.
They are one of the few places out there that will allow you to return an electronic part, see their returns policy.

Well, I am stuck! I replaced the circuit board AND the control panel. NOTHING!!! I hate to say it, but I think I just wasted 300 bucks.
