Model Number: GU2600XTPQ3 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
A load was washed and it was in the drying cycle almost finished and we noticed the green "clean"lite was blinking, normally it would be a steady green. We pushed the "cancel/drain" button and it continued to blink. If the "cancel/drain" is pushed twice it is supposed to clear the memory. But the pump comes on and it shows 2 minutes remaining and there is no water in the machine. We tried to wash a new load and after setting the cycle, pushed the "start" button. The small green lit abovr the "start" button blinked several times then went out and the machine did not start. We tryed the "Canceling a cycle" instructions on page 16 of the "use and care guide" but no luck. Anyone out there have any idea whats going on?

Hi.
"The clean light is blinking 7 times.Start button doesn't work". That means that there is an open heater circuit or bad heater relay in the control board. Using the multimeter check the continuity of the heater circuitry - hi limit thermostat, heating element(10-30ohm) and wiring. The element Part number: W10134009 The hi-limit Part number: 661566 Here are the breakdown diagrams and Tub and Frame parts for Whirlpool GU2600XTPQ3 - AppliancePartsPros.com Post the results. Simon.
