I have a Bosch SHX46A05UC/14 that had a similar problem. My
wife affected a work around of placing the soap cube in the holder
and only closing the door half way. This worked but the real fix was me
popping the door off and re-positioning the spring latch. It has worked great
for years afterward. Until the CRTL panel quit last week...

Bosch Dishwasher Repair: Dispenser Lever Replacement (part #166630) - YouTube

The video shows servicing the dispenser but you should just have
to re-position the spring and pop the door back on.
