Our dishwasher is about 12 years old, but I haven't used it to wash my dishes in like 6 to 8 years. We just never called anyone to fix it cause we were not sure how much it would cost. The last time I tried to use it, it went thru the whole cycle from beginning to end. It gets water but the dishes are not getting cleaned. I can't see thru the door when it's on, so I don't know if the spray arms are working or not. Can you help me?

While the dishwasher is running, check that the water level is near the heating element, if so, open the door and check if the spray arm is spraying. If not, but the motor is running, pull the spray arm and the filter out and clean the filter. Also, check the spray arm for a crack. Please post results

i hope none of the pump seals are dried out now ...

How do I get the filter out to clean it? I took the screws out, but it still doesn't come out.
