Hi Everyone,
I figured I would try my luck on here before I order unnecessary parts or just give up and buy a new dishwasher. My Maytag dishwasher started acting up today. I noticed a problem when the dishwasher would continue to run the same cycle over and over again. It would fill with water then drain for a few seconds and fill again, sometimes almost over filling. I pulled off the front cover and checked the water inlet valve. When I connected my multimeter to the power source I notice that it had consent (120V) power regardless of what cycle the the machine was in (even if the led lights were off. Next I tested the float switch and it seems to be functioning ok. When I ran the field service test, it displays a failure with the Turbidity Sensor. Could this failed sensor be my real issue or is it something bigger like a failed circuit board? Any help is much appreciated.
