Model Number: GSD640L-01 Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
I was given this GE dishwasher approx 10 years ago and it has been sitting in my basement unused since then. It was from a GM executive conference room so it only washed cups and saucers from meetings. My Kitchen-Aid dishwasher (19 years old) just died and I am wondering if it is worth having this old dishwasher installed or just go buy a new one. If I do have it installed, are there some parts I should have the installer replace just because it has been sitting without any water in it for so long? I was thinking seals for instance. I am a 70-year old widow so cannot afford to make a mistake here. Would appreciate any advice anyone can offer. Thanks.
