my g.e. profile dishwasher is not completely pumping out, every other time. i cleaned the sump out, there was no debris in it. any suggestions on what i should check next?

I would check the drain hose, especially where it attaches to the house plumbing.

Next would be the piston and nut (Item 564 in Section 1). It is behind/under the screen filter at the back of the tub. It unscrews. If it does not seal correctly then during the drain cycle some of the water gets back into the tub instead of out the drain.

thank you for your reply. the piston nut looks like my problem, the seal is deteriated. you were very helpfull in knowing where to look for it.
