After the water fills, when the next operation is starts, a grinding or ugly noise starts. I shut it to prevent further damage. What is most commonly causing the noise right after the water fills?

Hello Isaac,

The most common reason for noise when the dishwasher goes into the wash cycle is that there may be something down inside the pump causing noise. The other possiblities would be a bad impeller or pump.
