Hi,
I have a leak occurring underneath my Whirlpool dishwasher Model DU890DWGU2. I have pin pointed the leak by the pump impeller area. I am wondering if I would need only to replace the worn parts with the Impeller/seal kit Part #AP3108052 or would I need more parts?

Is there also a step my step instruction or video on how to accomplish this task online?

Hi.

You should be OK with replacing this impeller kit, but you should consider the possible damage to the motor bearings if that leak was for a while. In that case replace the motor/pump assembly.

If it's making a grinding noise, which it usually is by the time you notice the leak, you will need to replace the entire pump/motor assembly. If you are really handy and have the tools and patience, you can disassemble the motor and replace the front bearing in the motor and use the impeller seal kit. Whirlpool won't sell the bearing or the motor, so you will have to buy one at a bearing shop. Closest one I have found is 6082RS. You will have to cut the old one off the shaft and sand it down to get the new bearing onto it. Alot of work! If you can afford it and want to save on the frustration, just replace the entire pump/motor assembly.
