HotPoint dishwasher stopped working
Model Number: HDA3400G00WW Brand: Hotpoint Age: 5 - 10 years
Dishwasher worked fine last night but today nothing. Switched the DW plug with the disposal and the disposal stills works in other plug. Rotating the dial nothing happens. No humming or clicking from the dishwasher. What should I check first.

Remove the bottom panel. Remove the junction box cover on the right side under the dishwasher and check the power cord connections to the dishwasher wires.

Check the power cord and they were fine. Pulled the inside door cover off and found that the switch leaf had broken off. I ended up drilling a hole through the front of the door to reattached the broken plastic tab and the switch leaf. I used a #6 nut and bolt. All good now.
