Model Number: fdb750rcs0 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 5 - 10 years
Hi All, I have run into the standard symptom where the wash cycle will not advance when the heater is set to "on" and water is cold. I ended up changing the thermostat (********************.ca part# PS420304) and it still did not work. I then changed the heating element with no success. (i.e. cycle still stuck and water still cold) Is there any way to test the thermostat to see if it is working ? Any advise on what else I need to check ?
I am a newbie.... Thanks a million, Gardy Ads By Google Related Models |

Hi Gardy,
There are two more thermostats: the temperature boost thermostat and the temperature assure thermostat. They both are attached to the tub behind the electrical junction box under the dishwasher. They both can be tested for continuity. When reinstalling these thermostats, apply thermal mastic to the face of the thermostat. - The temperature boost thermostat Part number: 154227808 - The temperature assure thermostat Part number: 154227805 - The thermal mastic Part number: 5303307896 Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for Frigidaire FDB750RCS0 Frigidaire/dishwasher | AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.

Gardy,
Did you test the thermostat you already replaced? Or you were just guessing? Gene.

Actually I did not test the thermostat... I made a educated guess, since the connectors to the thermostat were burned to a crisp., had to cut the cable and replace those connectors before replacing the thermostat. How do I test the thermostats ?
Thanks, Newbie Gardy |

All such parts can be tested for continuity, using a simple multimeter. You can find more information in one of our sticky threads: How To Check Dishwasher Parts For Continuity
