I am having trouble with a jennair jdb1250awb, with the dishwasher starting when start is depressed but door is not closed. Also, when closing the door the latch never catches to hold door shut.

In addition to the replacing the latch as listed below, are there other parts that would need to be replaced, such as the wiring harness leading to a control board or maybe even a control board? Should the wiring harnesses attached to the latch be able to be pulled out and then just reconnected to the new latch? I am asking because while the bottom connector came out the black and white pair toward to the top are proving more difficult to disconnect.
