Dishwasher Repair

We have water left in the tub at the end of a cycle, I've pulled the drain hose from the sink and watched the water run into a bucket, but it just doesnt empty all the way...

I pulled the sump apart and cleaned it out, man was it yucky in there... but still the same result.... Any ideas? It's almost like the pump just isn't running long enough? is there something else I should clean?

I would check the piston and nut (Item 564 in Section 1). It is behind the screen filter at the back of the tub. It unscrews.

If it does not seal properly then during drain some water leaks back into the tub instead of going out the drain.
