Model Number: SHU9956UC Brand: Bosch Age: 5 - 10 years
My Bosch dishwasher sure knows how to make a Memorial weekend enjoyable. The kitchen is a huge mess with dirty dishes and dishwasher parts all over the place. I've been dealing with the long cycle/no heater issue and have found lots of good info here. including the service manual, so I think I'm on the right path to fix it.
While doing the current measurements, I'm getting about 1.4 amps during the heating cycle on the hot (black) wire. I checked the white wire and found only about 0.8 amps. The rest of the current (about 0.6 amps) is going to ground (green wire). Is this normal? I always thought that ground was a safety and that AC went from black to white. I did check if there was any connection between either side of the heater element and the ground but did not detect any current leak there. Is this normal or an indication of a bigger problem?
