Model Number: MDB9150AWB Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
My Maytag MDB9150AWB dishwasher started making strange noises, some of which sounded like an electrical short circuit popping. The automatic self-diagnostic tells me that the thermistor has an open circuit. I replaced the thermistor but nothing changes - still get the open circuit message. What next? Does this mean the control board is bad? I'm not sure it makes sense to replace a control board in an older DW.

Hi,
With the sounds you heard I would look it over good to see if you can notice anything that looks like it has shorted out. Take a close look at the control board, Part number: 99002825
