Model Number: MDB9150AWW Brand: Maytag Age: More than 10 years
Symptom: All cycles appear to run, water input/ouput OK, but dishes don't come out clean.
What I've Done: Auto Function Test indicates that the Turbidity Sensor fails to detect clean water. Although this website shows Maytag turbidity sensors, they do not look like mine. I've traced blue, pink and orange wires to an assembly that has a circuit board inside a clear amber housing with a black cover to which the wires attach. There are 2 Torx screws holding the assembly, just like the sensors mentioned in various threads. My Questions: (1) After removing the screws, does the sensor just pull straight down? (2) How do I clean and/or test it? (3) A search of the Internet indicates that this part (OEM Honeywell) is no longer available; local parts stores confirm this. Any suggestions on where I might find one? Thanks for any advice and suggestions. Ads By Google Related Models |
