Sudden water flow

Model Number: 665.16273402 Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years

Dishwasher was off and had not run in 12 hours; door ajar; no one near dishwasher. Suddenly, on its own, hot water began filling and overflowing.

Scary! What if no one was home???!!!
