replaced pump and still makes loud noise
Model Number: fgbd2431kf1 Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years
Dishwasher was making loud noise about 25 minutes in. I just installed a new pump and the poblem was not solved. Any suggestions? Thanks!

What did you call "new pump"?

Gene, I replaced the pump assembly number 60 on the motor and pump diagram chart. That is what was suggested to me at the local appliance part store. Would the motor be the next item to change? I have not pinpoint the noise. It quits when I open the door. Thanks for you help.

The pump you replaced is the drain pump. It works only for 2-3 minutes during the drain cycle, so it could not create a noise for 25 minutes.
In order to pinpoint that noise you should remove the toe panel and watch the parts under the dishwasher while it's working. Gene.

So i took the toe plate off while running. I pinpointed the noise to be the black plastic part on the end on the motor. Number seventy on the motor diagram. Would I have to buy the whole motor kit or could I just buy the black plastic part. While the unit was running I could hold this piece and the loud noise would stop.

Unfortunately Frigidaire does not sell any motor parts separate. You have to order the whole motor kit.
