there are no lights lit up, i bypass the latch swicth,still no lights, i check the ribbon cable attached to the control panel and there are black marks in a few ribbon that cannot be cleaned off. do you think it could be the ribbon or the circuit board . i brought this used cheap $15.00 and the seller said it only needed a drain pump. i like to fix this but not sure if it is worth putting 150.00 into it any suggestions

Locate the thermal fuse at the control board and check if it's open (using the multimeter).

thermal fuse is open. i jumpered it and still nothing is lit or working, i also tested the thermal fuse underneath the dishwasher it is opening and closing what next?

Check if the unit is getting 120VAC at the junction box, at door latch and at the control board.
