#3 light on, none of the buttons on the panel work.
Model Number: MDB5601AWS Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
I was given a free dishwasher that has never been used. After hooking everything up, nothing on the panel will work and the #3 light is lit. Is this a bad control panel?

Hi.
Most likely it is the control panel went bad. Before replacing it remove the panel and the flex ribbon connector. Clean it if that's possible and reinstall. If that doesn't help - replace the control panel. Hi Simon,
I have the panel removed, but can't tell what the "flex ribbon connector" looks like. None of the diagrams and the parts listed on your site for my model show the flex ribbon connector. Can you give me a part number for this so I can see a picture of it? Thanks, Jennifer

Hi, my new control panel came and we installed it. #3 light is lit on this one too. However, we were able to run the "Field Service Test" from the tech sheet and the test ran completely. So now what do you think is wrong? Thanks Jennifer
