Ran into what appears to be a common issue with my dishwasher: It stopped washing mid-cycle with a dead control panel (no illuminated LEDs, no response to button pushing). After verifying that the thermal fuse had not blown and 120VAC was present at the control board, I was stumped.
I found a post in the forums (Whirlpool DU1055XTVSO is currently dead.
) that had a recommended diagnostic procedure to test whether the control board or the control panel had a fault, though it was for a different model. The test indicated that the control board was the problem (drain did not turn on after pulling ribbon from control board and did not see 120VAC between CON1 P4 and CON2 P6).
Because the control board in the referenced post looked essentially identical to mine, I assumed it was good enough and ordered a new control board. However, after replacing it, nothing changed. Still zero voltage between CON1 P4 and CON2 P6, no response or illuminated LEDs on the control panel.
I'm not sure where to go from here. I've checked for continuity on each of the door switches and they appear to be normal (black-white and tan has 3VAC when open, zero when closed?). It appears that there are some test pads on the control board for the control panel ribbon connector, but I can't find anything online regarding the test process.
Any suggestions for next steps are appreciated - thanks in advance!
