Default Timer doesn't move from rinse to dry.
Model Number: FDB710LCB0   Brand: Frigidaire   Age: 5 - 10 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com
Hi, I have a frigidaire dishwasher model FDB710LCB0. I seems to work ok but won't automatically go from rinse to dry. The timer hangs just before the mark where it should start drying and rinses forever. If you manually move it a click or two it will dry and end the cycle. If it's a thermostat I can only find one in the machine. Part number 154290204 described as a resetable thermostat (under washer back left corner). It looks like that's the Hi-limit thermostat shown in the schematic. The schematic also shows temp boost wash and temp boost rinse. can't find them. Should I be concerned about the thermostats? If so where are they and whats their numbers. Or should I just replace the timer first?

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for Frigidaire FDB710LCB0 Frigidaire/dishwasher | AppliancePartsPros.com

For some reason Frigidaire has put them in Section 2 (Door).
They are not numbered so scroll down to the bottom of the list to see them.

Here is a service manual. Although your model number is not listed it should be close. Take a look at page 25.

You may have to join the site to download the manual.

I am assuming that the dishes dry OK.
This tells me that the heater is OK.

Try running with the temp boost options off.
Now does the timer complete the cycle?
If yes, try a cycle with just wash boost.
If it completes the cycle shut off wash boost and try rinse boost.
If it now hangs up
I would unplug/remove power from the unit.
Short the rinse boost connections together. Tape them so they cannot short to anything else.
Run a cycle with rinse boost on.
If it completes the cycle I would replace the rinse boost thermostat.

Your problem may could be the timer, the option switch or a boost thermostat.

THANKS for the info. I removed a thermostat to measure the resistance to see if it was closed. One of the leads looked alittle burnt. I put it back so I could run the washer, everything worked. have run it twice more. so far it seems fixed. must have been a poor connection on the thermostat.
Thanks again. Rich

You are welcome.
Glad to hear that you found it.

You did not say, so if you have not done it, I would clean up the connector with some fine emery cloth. Also if it is loose tighten up the female with a set of pliers. You have to be very careful that you do not over do it.
Dirty connections cause heat and then over time they get worse ti the connection or component fails.

Thanks for getting back to us as your post will help others with a similar problem.
