Model Number: SHY66C05UC-14 Brand: Bosch Age: 5 - 10 years
Opened dishwasher after wash cycle. Soap dispenser open, but soap not dissolved. Dishes not clean. Noted kitchen faucet barely working. Apparently a slug of soft sludge got in water line. Flushed water lines at sink. Removed copper tubing at inlet to dishwasher (DW) and found sludge at inlet filter going to I believe the solenoid valve.
Cleaned inlet filter. Replaced copper tubing with SS flex house. Flushed flex before hooking up to DW - solid stream of water with good pressure. Hooked up to DW and tried to run. No water going in to DW. Wondering if I should replace solenoid inlet valve? Or is there something else I should try? Thanks, Jim Ads By Google Related Models |

Thanks Simon. On this model it turned out I had to take whole left side off, but was simple to do. Float looks fine unless micro switch is bad, but that seems unlikely, and no evidence there has ever been water where that float is. I'll go ahead and order the solenoid valve and see how it goes.
Thanks again, Jim |
