Water won't drain from my unit. I originally was having issues with unit not fully draining from tub at end of cycle. Cleaned hose to dishwasher and the check valve (partially clogged). THought all would be OK but new issue arose

The unit now did not appear to drain at all at the end of the cycle or when I cancelled. Instead of draining, unit gives a little gasp at the disposal exit and then appears to continue to wash instead of drain (can hear water circulating in tub). Appears motor is not reversing but running forward instead.

TO be safe, took the impeller system apart to check for any blockage. Some small shards of glass but nothing major of note. Reassembled. Same thing still happening. Pushes water through tub during both wash and drain cycles.

Can the reversing capability of the motor be shot but not the wash process? If yes, is the only option a motor replacement or can something else be causing this?

Any help appreciated.... I'm at wits end on this.

THanks

Wayne

If it sprays water in tub during the drain period, you have a bad control module AP2921061

Thanks for the prompt response. Unfortunately, the control panels no longer come in the original bisque color (only black or white) and are nearly half the cost of a replacement (given the current sales promos). So I opted for a couple extra hundred to get a new unit at a huge local sale.
