I need to replace the knob and dial on my, kenmore elite washing machine. model #110.22982101. I can't figure out how to take the knob off.The plastic dial was spinning free, and was crumbling to pieces, so I cut it off, as well as the clear plastic. So the knob remains, and I can't take it off. I've ordered a new knob and dial, and I'm not sure if there will be directions or not. Either way, I would really appreciate your professional opinion and guidance.

I think your timer is on Page 21.
