Default Tub fills with water
Model Number: SHU9920UC   Brand: Bosch   Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Bosch dishwasher that is eight years old. A few months ago I found clear water in the tub following a wash done the previous evening. I drained the tub by resetting the cycle as instructed in the user manual, but the tub gradually filled up with water again after several hours. This now happens after every few washes. When I turn off power to the dishwasher, the tub still fills with water. There seems to be a slow leak in the water intake valve, but I'm not sure why this happens only intermittently, that is every few washes. Do I need to replace the water valve? If so, what's the difference between the Bosch Water valve (part No. AP2802210) and Water valve assembly (part No. AP3783031)? Thanks for you help.

The water inlet valve has to be replaced because it's stuck.

I'm not able to provide the right part number due to the model number you posted is incorrect. Verify and repost it, please.

The water inlet valve with the part number AP2802210 has a pressure switch attached. The other one does not have it.

Gene.

Default Model Number

The ID tag for the model number is missing from the door, but my original invoice indicates that the model is SHU9902UC. The manual that came with the dishwasher shows the model as SHV4300. The part numbers for the water intake valves are the same for both models. The part no. for the water valve assembly is AP3783031 and for the water inlet system is AP2802392. Which do I need? Thanks for your quick response Gene.

In such situation the best thing is to remove the old part and match it up.
