my whirlpool won't latch closed. I don't see anyplace for a spring. I took off the door panel and can engage the latch sensors and start the machine, but the lever that is on the washer side seems to not engage the door side when I try to close it. its like there should be a spring on the lever/latch on the tub that will allow it to lift up and mate into the door latch.

Any idea?
