My dishwasher suddenly stopped getting dishes clean, the top and middle arms don't spin or produce water and the bottom arm doesn't seem to have enough force and the water looks like a fountain. The water does not reach the soap dispensers and it is all caked. The water seems to pump out to the sink drain OK.
After talking to our local repair man, we sucessfully replaced the water inlet valve with a new one. There was no change in the symptoms.
Any other obvious things to check? We are about ready to go out and purchase a new one as it seems ridiculous to spend any more money on an 8 year old machine.
Any thoughts on what more to check? Thanks for your help.

Maybe the screen/filter in the pump housing is restricting the flow of water and needs to be cleaned.

Hi.

First of all do you have normal water pressure going into the dishwasher?

If you do, then check the filter screen under the lower wash arm. if it's clogged use the Dishwasher Magic or any recommended cleaning solutions.

The screen seems to be clean under the bottom arm. The water pressure into the machine seems fine as it fills. Tomorrow we are going out to get a new dishwasher unless there are other ideas!
