The spring on the dishwasher door have come unattached because of a rather rambunctious three-year-old who decided to see if the door would act as a trampoline if he jumped on it. Needless to say, it did not work other than to place him pretty squarely on the ground.
Anyway, we have been using the dishwasher with the springs unattached, and I finally took the kickplate off and found two springs and one retainer.
My questions are these:
Are there supposed to be two retainers (one for each spring)? I cannot seem to work out how the retainer attaches to the spring, nor how the spring attaches to the door. It seems that the red part of the spring must go up (attaching to the door) and the retainer goes inside the spring attaching to the leg. But I am not sure. Any help?
