Model Number: DU1100XTPB1   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years   

About A Year Ago The Rinse And Hold Cycle Stoped Working, About Month Later Normal Cycle Would Not Work. Last Night The I Started It And It Was Running And About 1 Hour Later The Machine Had Stoped The Dryer Element Was Running And The Soap Did Not Open And Their Was Water In The Bottom. Help Is It Just Contol Board Or Something More Serious.

The first thing I would check is the dishwasher electrical connection.

Remove the bottom panel, open the junction box and verify the power cord connection to the dishwasher. The hot (black) wire must be connected to the hot wire and the neutral (white) wire must be connected to the neutral wire.

Make sure the heating element is not shorted to the ground.

Most likely the control board has to be replaced.

- The part number for the control board is AP3775998

- The part number for the heating element is AP3884745
