KitchenAid Child Lock will not reset
 

During a wash cycle the child lock light came on and will not reset by holding the energy saver button down for 5 seconds(or more). Can anyone give me an idea what would cause this? I hate to just start hanging parts.

The child lock light came on and will not reset by holding the energy saver button down for 5 seconds(or more). Plus, it runs when I push cancel but only for a few minutes and then child lock light starts flashing again. Can anyone give me an idea of how to solve?

Have you tried removing power from the unit for a couple minutes to see if it will reset?

Also a model number may help others help you.
