Purchased 09/2010- Heater Element Replaced ( Fried). Upon Replacement - The Clean Light blinks 7 times then pauses then 7times again & Again.When Selecting Control Panel Options - all the selection light BUT when you select the start Button _ Comes On Then Goes Off- NO Operation of diswaher. The Only operable selection is the Cancel/Drain -Two minutes then goes off.

Check the high limit thermostat (#25 at the diagram) for continuity. Replace if it's open.

I should have asked this question upfront- What would be the cause of the heating element to short out. Just Wondering

It can be anything from poor quality to excessive current.

Had Ckd @ Is Closed - Which I think -means that is not the problem.

Yes, the high limit thermostat passed the test, so the control board is the next. Make sure all wires are good.
