Model Number: DU960PWKB1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
on January 9, I had to replace a faulty wall switch for the dishwasher and the first time i turn the 20 amp breaker back on and ran the dishwasher it would not drain. You guys helped me to determine I had a burned out thermal fuse. So i placed the order installed the thermal fuse and it fixed the problem. This past weekend my garbage discposal went bad and I had to replace it...this of course required me to turn off this same 20 amp breaker. When I turned the breaker back on and ran my dishwasher it will not drain again...so the common element to this equation is the flipping off then on of the 20amp breaker...seems to be blowing out the termal fuse...do you have any idea why??

You may want to call an electrician to check that breaker.

Called electrician and breaker is working fine...everything is wired correctly and the voltage is good.
Could there be something in the dishwasher that doesnt like it when I flip the breaker off and then back on? |

For how long time did you run the dishwasher before the thermal fuse got blown?
