Model Number: FP0509208 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
Hi All,
I need help identifying which parts to purchase. I have a 2 year old washer that just leak from the bottom when it's running. I've checked the drainage and inlet line and it's ok. I looked underneath the washer and notice water was leaking from middle of the tub. I think it's the sump pump gasket or the volute seal. Any suggestion? Also, what's a sump tab and what does it do or suppose to do? Any help would be appreciated.... John |

Hi John,
In order to provide the most accurate advise I need the complete model number of the dishwasher. The number you posted is the serial number. Gene.

Hi John,
A sump tab is a part of a locking mechanism. Both parts you mentioned could cause a water leak. The best thing is to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet to find out which part is wrong exactly. - Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dishwasher Model GU1200XTLS1 Gene.
