Viking dishwasher
Brand: -other- Age: More than 10 years
Got an old viking ( 1980) that just stopped pumping water.Any ideas on possible causes.Already checked for plugged exhaust pipe.Looks ok.

do you hear the pump comin on but no water leaving? Or is the machine just sitting there? Take your drain line off under the sink or where ever it is located & then turn the DW on & see if it if any pumps out. Could be a solenoid or the pump. Model # would help as well
|

problem seems to be fixed
While checking for plugs I did clean out some cellophane and a piece of broken glass. Ran the dishwasher and it seems to be pumping now. Didn't look like these small amounts of debris could affect things. Hope it keeps working though.
