Hello, last year my wife and I downsized to a smaller house. The house had a Bosch SHY56A05UC/14 dishwasher that was known not to be functional. So for the last year we have been hand washing everything. Anyway, I thought it might be time to look at repairing this if it isn't too expensive.

The problem I have is that the red power light does come on when turned on but nothing else. There is no display at all. I read where it may be an issue with the door switch but after removing the switch and doing a resistance test on the switch it is working fine. I then removed the control panel but cannot see any obvious physical burnt solder joints on the board. Is this board still the most likely culprit or do I need to look at something else?

Thanks Gene. I did check the voltage and yes the contol board is receiving power. I suspect you are right about being the board. Even though I still don't have any display if I wiggle the connector at the control board that is receiving the 120 volt from the door switch it starts to cycle on and off.
